A single-family home alternative on Southport

Last month Prudential Rubloff‘s Karen McKeon showed Joe Zekas around what appears to be a viable alternative to the pricier single-families in Lake View‘s Southport corridor and Blaine School District: a four-story, three bedroom / 3.5-bath townhome at 3842 N Southport Ave, priced at $825,000.

The townhome opens off a locked, gated courtyard and is set far back from the street. Its multiple levels make for a lot of privacy for different family members — two bedrooms, including the master, are on the second level, a third bedroom with adjacent deck is on the top floor, and a family room big enough to be a fourth bedroom or nanny’s room is at ground level.
