A step forward for Atrium Village

It’s been nearly two years since we noted a Sun-Times report that the Chicago Plan Commission had approved a proposal for the redevelopment of the 7-acre Atrium Village site at Division and Wells.

The site could eventually encompass a 2-acre terraced park, four high-rises, townhomes, retail space and 1,500 apartments.

Chicago Real Estate Daily reported yesterday that Canadian-based Onni Group has secured $35 million in debt financing and is apparently moving forward on plans for development of the property.

You can see all of the new downtown apartment projects that are proposed or underway on our at-a-glance list.
