Harbour Point Estates? Who knew there was a trailer park – sorry, manufactured housing community – in the city with this name?
Yo didn’t until we saw the recent City of Chicago neighborhood map (1.5M PDF). We’ll hold off on adding this to our neighborhood forums until we have more info.
In the meantime, what kind of clout does it take to get your trailer park on the City of Chicago map?
Don’t know nuttin bout no clout, but that trailer park has been there since at least the early 70’s. May have had a different name.
Down on da sout side we called it the mobile homes by da lake………….Wolf Lake that is.
I have vague memories of a Lock Ness Monster type creature in Wolf Lake……..of course that coulda been the fumes from the steel mills having an effect on my mind back in the 70’s.
