Viewing AMLI 900's apartments and amenities

When you’re marketing a development, you’re marketing a lifestyle. This concept wasn’t lost on the folks at AMLI 900, who have guilefully tagged each of their different floor plans with names like “Sporty,” “Mod,” “Savvy,” and “Chic.” I’m not sure what the difference between savvy living and sporty living is, but as you’ll see in this video, there was quite a bit of variation in the two models we visited yesterday. AMLI 900 offers renters two different home styles: a traditional unit that’s fully carpeted and has maple cabinets, and a “soft loft” style with concrete ceilings, exposed duct work, hardwood flooring, and cherry cabinets.

The 24-story rental building at 900 S Clark St in the South Loop also has amenities similar to those we’ve seen in other downtown apartment high-rises: a dog run, a private park, on-site dry cleaning, and free Wi-Fi on the first and 24th floors. Its Web site also touts the building’s green roof, its “Breatheasy smoke-free environment,” and the use of recycled materials in the tower’s construction. For renters who don’t own their own vehicles, AMLI 900 offers two I-GO cars on site, buses run regularly along Clark Street, and ‘L’ stops in the Loop and at Roosevelt Road are short walks to the north and southeast, respectively.

Rents for studio and convertible units, which range from 497 to 636 square feet, vary from $1,073 to $1,651 a month. One-bedrooms with 719 to 900 square feet are priced from $1,396 to $1,908 a month. Two-bedroom / two-baths with 1,123 to 1,151 square feet are priced from $1,921 to $2,639 a month. Three-bedroom / three-bath 1,385 square foot units rent for $2,327 to $3,107 a month.
