A view from the Roosevelt Road bridge

If you’re driving across the Roosevelt Road bridge, headed for the Museum Campus, slow down for a closer look at the sculptures that prefigure your destination. You’ll see dolphins (the Shedd Aquarium), an astrolabe (the Adler Planetarium) and prehistoric creatures (the Field Museum).

Better yet, park at the Whole Foods west of the bridge and take a walk. You’ll see great urban vistas that hark back to Chicago’s railroad-laden past, and large development sites that will help shape its future.
