The Garfield Park Conservatory is a West Side treasure. It hosts church gatherings, is a frequent backdrop for wedding photos, and amuses kids and families throughout the year.
If you were planning a visit over the holiday weekend, you’ll be disappointed. According to the Tribune’s Chicago Breaking News, the Conservatory “sustained serious damage from hail in Thursday night’s storms, causing officials to close the facility until further notice.”
