Alta Vista Terrace: "The street of 40 doors"

This video is a slide show that Joe Zekas put together and posted on Yo about two years ago on Alta Vista Terrace (3800 North, 1050 West) in Lake View, which is a Chicago Landmark. As Joe explains in the video, Samuel Eberly Gross developed 40 single-family row homes on the street between 1900 and 1904. The homes exhibit a wide range of architectural styles and “enough detail to drive Mies van der Rohe to despair,” as Joe describes it.
