An aerial progress report on K2 at K Station

If you time travel back 10 years the Fulton River District was a largely barren area, and it would have been hard to envision how swiftly it has developed. With the addition of thousands of condo and apartment units, and a rapidly developing restaurant scene, it’s well on its way to becoming a thriving scene.

The 34-story K2, the last of the K Station buildings, is scheduled to top out by the end of the month and add 496 apartments to the neighborhood beginning in spring of 2013.

The aerial images illustrate the area’s proximity to the Loop and River North.

You can more aerial images from our recent helicopter tour at this Flickr album. We’ll be adding many more in the coming days.
