At the eastern end of East Lake Shore Drive, where the road curves back to the south and becomes North Lake Shore Drive once more, is 999 North Lake Shore Drive, a vintage, 12-unit co-op designed by Marshall and Fox. Completed in 1912, 999 was the first building on the landmarked block of East Lake Shore Drive. During their long Lake Shore Drive hike during last month’s Bike the Drive, Joe Zekas and Prudential Rubloff agent Francesca Rose stopped outside 999 to talk about its lavish homes, including a 4,000 square-foot three-bedroom currently listed for $2.95 million.

  • I thought that there were more than 12 units here, with 2 per floor (or does this count current total with combined units, etc?).
