Eight demolition permits were issued last Thursday for the 2-story buildings flanking the mid-rise at Atrium Village.
Onni Group had previously announced plans to develop retail space and four high-rises with a total of 1,500 apartments on the 7.2-acre site.
The first phase of the redevelopment is slated to include 25,000 square feet of retail and a 32-srory tower with 405 apartments at the southwest corner of Division and Wells Streets.
