Bankrate: economists predict slow recovery but remain optimistic for 2007

“Stable interest rates, rising consumer confidence and bargain prices make for an overall optimistic outlook for 2007,” say economists interviewed for Bankrate’s 2007 Real Estate Guide. While any good news is welcome, it’s important to caution that this same guide notes concerns over the rising number of foreclosures caused by ARMs resetting and new housing starts. What Bankrate fails to mention is whether or not the experts are concerned with too many or too few new housing starts.
