Stuck to my car windshield this morning: a xeroxed flyer encouraging me to “LIVE IT UP” at Beacon Hill Condominiums, 4716 – 4724 N Beacon Ave. That seemed like a daunting prospect at 8 a.m., but I took the bait and called the 24-hour recorded hotline listed on the flyer. I listened to a few details: the 37-unit conversion has several two-bedroom layouts, with finishes including granite counters, stainless steel appliances, 42-inch kitchen cabinets, walnut floors and bathrooms with limestone floors and counters.
The grand opening was held this past weekend, and so far nine units have sold, I learned after pressing zero and reaching Mike Cuevas, an agent with CFR Marketing, which is marketing the project. The flyer listed starting prices at $215,900 – which by our informal reckoning is pretty competitive for the area. But that kind of living it up won’t last long – those prices were set for the grand opening and are bound to jump in the coming weeks, Cuevas said.
