Bistro Room21 – another key addition in South Loop

While we’re on the topic of new South Loop businesses, it’s big news for the ‘hood that Room21, a former Al Capone brewery-turned-bistro, recently opened at 2110 S Wabash Ave.

Restaurateur extraordinaire Jerry Kleiner has turned the 1300 block of South Wabash into a mini-restaurant row, a la Randolph Street, so it might be a good sign for those buying in this corner of the neighborhood (development has pushed across Cermak) that Kleiner likes the odds this far south.

He was the prime force in turning Randolph Street in the West Loop into a dining destination and brought Opera and Gioco to the South Loop’s top culinary corner, 13th and Wabash.
