The new Metra station at 35th Street and Wentworth Avenue in Bridgeport should be finished by the end of year, Gazette Chicago reported earlier this month. Once open, Bridgeport residents, including buyers at the new Lexington Square townhomes at 3704 S Sangamon St (less than a mile to the west), will have a new alternative to the Dan Ryan Expressway that they can use for a daily commute downtown — the very next stop on northbound trains is the Loop’s LaSalle station — and southwest suburbanites will have a new way to get to Sox games.
