We posted not long ago on the wave of residential development on busy commercial streets such as Ashland, Belmont and Halsted, sparking a lively debate from Yo readers. Some argued the bustle and traffic are a good thing, a dynamic urban atmosphere right outside the front door.
But all commercial streets aren’t created equal. Halsted is very different than, say, Broadway in Edgewater, where Jameson Realty Group is marketing Broadway Village Lofts, at 5427 N Broadway St. This wide stretch of Broadway feels a little bit like a freeway. On the other hand, it has its share of restaurants, nifty antique stores, a Yoga studio and a health-food / vitamin store.
Jameson’s Carola Del Rio, Michael Downing and Matthew Malinowski have the 24 one-bedroom “lofty” condos listed from the $220s to the $250s.
