The Buddha’s birthday is traditionally celebrated on the 8th day of the 4th month of the Chinese lunar calendar. This year, the date fell on May 24th, but the celebration continued for a while at the Truc Lam Vietnamese Temple, 1521 W. Wilson Ave.
The folks at the temple were kind enough to invite YoChicago’s Barry Pearce inside for a look around.
The International Buddhism Festival will be held at the temple, Saturday, June 2, from 10 in the morning until 8:30 in the evening.
