It was 1973. On Division Street, Butch’s, Mother’s and the BBC were packed with seekers. Dwarf-tossing contests were in full swing, wet t-shirt contests were draining Lake Michigan, and break dancers spread their cardboard mats everywhere. Looking for Mr Goodbar captured the scene.
Just around the corner from the Division Street revelry, swinging singles were flocking to a new rental high-rise called The Satyr. I kid you not – The Satyr.
Does anyone know the address and the name the building adopted when it converted to condos?

The Towers Condominium: “The Towers Condominium (born as “The Satyr” – I’m not making that up) also has them. It’s at 1221 N. Dearborn, and it’s also a pretty ugly building.” -Joe Zekas circa 2006.
Nice work, Emkays. I’d forgotten writing this.
I also didn’t realize Google indexed our comments that efficiently.
Great post.
Some more Satyr / Towers trivia.
