Agents and developers often speak of renting units in new-construction condo developments in hushed tones, but at a time when so many developers are doing it, what’s to hide? Pam Lynch from Jameson Real Estate is straightforward about the status of this new condo building at 2317 W Armitage Ave in Bucktown. Two units have been sold, two are currently being rented and the fifth and final unit is currently for sale, but it could also be rented, she says.

2317 West Armitage in Bucktown, ChicagoThat last remaining home is an 1,800 square-foot three-bedroom / 2.5-bath duplex-up that’s priced in the $460s. “It’s probably the lowest-priced three-bedroom in the area,” Lynch says of the condo. If you like the place but aren’t ready to commit to a mortgage, rent is about $2,450 per month.

“It has modern finishes and really nice architectural detailing,” Lynch adds, listing off features like hardwood floors throughout, KitchenAid and Bosch appliances, and stone backsplashes in the kitchen. Because of the building’s triangular footprint, unit 2W has multiple exposures and plenty of natural sunlight, she says.

One garage parking space is included in the price, but if you depend on the CTA to get you around town, the development is located just a block or two from the Western Blue Line station.
