Buyers weren’t hot for geothermal home in Lincoln Park

1946 N Hudson Ave

Five years ago we took note of a geothermal home listed for $4.9 million at 1946 N Hudson in a prime stretch of Lincoln Park.

The newly-built 6,900 square foot, 6-bedroom, 5 ½ bath home was far more interesting for its architecture than for its heating and cooling technology.

After lingering on the market for more than two years, the home sold for $3.1 million in July of 2009.

Curbed recently focused on a solar home in Bucktown that’s also taking a while to find a buyer.
