Buying into a new-construction building

A brand-new condo brings with it a number of opportunities, responsibilities, and challenges that you might not find with resales or at older buildings — things like dealing directly with a developer during the buying process; keeping track of the sale prices, empty units, and rentals going on around you; and getting up to speed on the building’s management and finances once the homeowners association takes control.
