We try our best to document Chicago’s neighborhoods at YoChicago, but on that score, no one can come close to Nelson Algren, who did for Chicago what Baudelaire did for Paris. The Nelson Algren Committee will hold the 18th annual Nelson Algren Birthday Party at 8 p.m. tomorrow night, March 25, at the ACME Arts Building, 1741 N Western Ave. Admission is seven bucks (“less, if you’re short,” in the spirit of Algren), and the work of Yo photographer Joeff Davis will be on display, along with images from other photographers. There also will be readings, music and film. Go ahead, take a walk on the wild side.
