Chicago Apartment Seekers attracts vitriolic comments

Chicago Apartment Seekers, one of the rental services that we call bedbugs and place on a do-not-call list, runs fictitious addresses in a number of its ads at Trulia, e.g. 700 N Dearborn when advertising Asbury Plaza, 750 N Dearborn.

In the course of researching a post, I chanced upon ugly rants about Jason Liebman and Steve Missirlian of Chicago Apartment Seekers.

I’m guessing the rants were written by one or more of their bedbug competitors. They’re typical bedbug vs bedbug behavior. Bedbugs don’t treat each other any better than they treat renters.

Finding an apartment in downtown Chicago is a lot easier than the rental services would have you believe. Start with our at-a-glance apartment lists.

If you’re a renter and using a bedbug rental service, be aware that their commission is negotiable. Save yourself a half a month’s rent, or more, by some last-minute bargaining.
