The American Institute of Architects has named local architect Carol Ross Barney winner of the Thomas Jefferson Award for Public Architecture. Her works range from the colorfully postmodern Glendale Heights post office to the curvilinear Oklahoma City Federal Building, which replaced the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building, destroyed in a terrorist attack in 1995.
