Chicago buyer cuts a deal for a condo with a "New York view"

Sometimes buyers can cut even bigger deals if they’re prepared to purchase a “less popular” unit. We told you about the $10,000 price cut at Library Tower. Now we hear that Lennar Urban – Chicago slashed the price of a one-bedroom unit at Library Tower by $15,000 to $231,900 because it had, as buyer Sonia Astacio cheerfully calls it, a “New York view.” That is, her condo peers out on a neighboring high-rise – as many high-rise units in downtown Chicago presumably do.
