The Chicago Metropolitan Housing Development Corp and Related Midwest plan to build 80 market-rate, affordable and public homes near the intersection of Clybourn Avenue and Larrabee Street in the Near North Side, the Trib reported Sunday.
One- to three-bedroom condos located at 1413 – 1427 N Clybourn Ave and 1414 – 1426 N Larrabee St will have 711 to 1,782 square feet and will range in price from the $220s to $610s, according to the article.
Nine one- and two-bedroom units have been reserved for affordable housing; another eight will be Chicago Housing Authority for-lease homes.
At first glance, the development seems to be right in line with the neighborhood’s other projects. Smithfield Properties‘ SoNo at 860 W Blackhawk St (just a hop, skip and a jump to the west) have one- to three-bedroom homes priced from the $270s to $590s, and Rada Development is selling its three-bedroom Clybourn Point condos at 1322 N Clybourn Ave starting in the $540s.
