Pardon me for thinking about the hoopla surrounding City Hall’s green roof as I watched the fireworks at the Christmas tree lighting ceremony at Daley Plaza.

That video proved that large amount of pollution a single Chicago event can generate. A City Hall Roof Garden cannot clean that pollution up, not for a long time.
