It’s not swimming weather yet, but the outdoor lounge that tops Alta at K Station‘s parking deck will be ready for action once the temperature rises just a few more degrees. Crews were busy working on the deck’s cabanas and grills this afternoon and will fill the outdoor pool later this week.
One feature is already in place, of course: the deck’s wide vista of downtown Chicago, from the Gold Coast around to the far reaches of the West Loop. I snapped these two photos during my tour of Alta’s 32,000 square-foot K2 amenities floor this afternoon — hang in there, because more still and moving panoramas from the a 37th-floor penthouse are on their way, as are a number of videos from inside K2 and some of the newly opened units in Alta’s western tower, located at 365 N Jefferson St in the Fulton River District.
