Want to pick up some condos and commercial space along Western Avenue in Saint Ben’s? You’ll have a chance on January 30, when Rick Levin & Associates auctions off what remains of the Cityscape Condominiums development at 3905 – 3935 N Western Ave.
Instead of picking up individual units, buyers will bid on seven packages of Cityscape’s residential and commercial spaces comprising 34 homes, 10 retail spaces, and vacant land zoned for an eight-unit mixed-use building, valued at a combined suggested opening bid of more than $13.4 million.
As of summer 2008, Cityscape’s condos (seen above) ranged from 1,200 square-foot two-bedrooms priced from the $350s to 1,860 square-foot three-bedrooms topping out in the $610s.
Among the other properties hitting the auction block that day are a partially completed 16-unit condo building, two unfinished townhome buildings with a total of nine units, and vacant land for 23 additional townhomes, all located near the intersection of 65th Street and Nashville Avenue in Clearing, packaged together at a suggested opening bid of more than $5.7 million. Condos, single-family homes, commercial buildings, and vacant lots in Frankfort, Melrose Park, Oak Park, Orland Park, and South Holland will also be up for sale.
The auction will begin at 11 a.m. January 30 at the Hyatt Rosemont, 6350 N River Rd in Rosemont. For more information on the properties for sale, download a pricing sheet from the Rick Levin Web site (PDF).
