Our video of a drive down 26th Street in Little Village has generated more than 15,000 views and scores of comments at YouTube – many of them suggestive of the kind of reception outsiders can look forward to in the area, and many of them simply deranged.

The last time 26th was anything worth visiting, Gerald Ford was president, the Goldblatt’s and Woolworth still had cafeterias and Jack in the Box was the best place to get a burger… Even Christmas felt special on 26th with the street lights and Toys and Hobbies next to the Atlantic. now it’s all corn, cocaine, pissdrunks and dropouts with criminal records.
