One thing I have noticed is that many people who strive to be “politically correct” are more interested in that than in being correct. I guess good intentions or even thoughts are more important than truth.
Personally, I prefer truth. Except when I am under indictment then I assert my right to remain silent.
Here is some truth. Mayor Daley is an intellectually, verbally, and ethically challenged garden gnome of pasty Irish descent. The politically correct crowd may love that.
Now let’s say I said “Reverend” Jackson is a race baiting hack who has shaken down many businesses for donations to “Operation Push”. Let’s say I suggested he and his family have benefited from many interesting jobs and business dealings. Let’s say I suggested that like Bill Clinton and interestingly enough most of the major Republican candidates for President he is guilty of “zipper failure.” Why then I would be racist. I would not understand the multicultural milieu. I would be against multicultural mixes. I would be a bad person.
