Concord opens single-family home model

Concord Homes has opened its first model home at Concord at Jefferson Park, a new development of 29 single-family houses and 56 townhouses at Lawrence and Lamon, in the Northwest Side neighborhood of Jefferson Park.

The model is a 3,267-square-foot single-family home with four bedrooms, 3.5 baths and a two-car detached garage, priced from the $580s. The home includes an eat-in kitchen, separate dining and living rooms, a finished basement, a rear deck, a home office and a full-floor master suite.

The location, in a settled residential neighborhood, has been a draw in more ways than one, according to Roger Mankedick, executive vice president of Palatine-based Concord Homes.

“Due to Concord at Jefferson Park’s proximity to the Kennedy Expressway, thousands of commuters a day have watched the progress of the community, so the anticipation over the opening of this model has been particularly high,” Mankedick said. “With more than 3,200 square feet, including four bedrooms, the model shows buyers they don’t have to move to the suburbs for a large new-construction single-family home.”

Other features in the single-family homes include GE appliances, hardwood floors, oak railings, granite kitchen counters and nine-foot ceiling heights on the first floor.

Two rowhome designs also are available at the community, each with 2,200 square feet, three bedrooms, two full baths, two half-baths and attached rear-loading two-car garages. Plans are base-priced from the $390s.

The rowhomes are designed in a courtyard to encourage interaction among neighbors and provide easy access to the rear-loading garages, while minimizing the impact of vehicles. Homes will face each other, with front elevations overlooking landscaped courtyards.

The Concord at Jefferson Park “Welcome Home Center” is located at 4933 W. Lawrence.
