Concrete tops brick at The Lofts at River East Art Center

We’ve already told you about MCL Companies‘ plans to convert the top three floors of the River East Art Center to lofts and add two new concrete stories, but here’s a first look at what the pastiche project will look like. The narrow windows on the converted floors will be opened up with inset balconies, and the new-construction level is decidedly contemporary and heavy on glass. We know it’s not as drastic as what’s going on at 565 Quincy, but how do yo’all think this one will turn out?

The Lofts at River East Art Center has 280 one- to three-bedroom lofts priced from the $400s.
