The Macon Group‘s loft conversion of two adjoining buildings at 3133 N Lakewood Ave in Lake View received favorable reviews from readers when Joe wrote about it last spring, but until this week, we hadn’t made it up to the intersection of Lakewood and Belmont to photograph the finished product.
I haven’t been inside the development, so I can’t say how the lofts look, but from the street this is a very attractive renovation project.
The development has 25 one- to four-bedroom condos that are priced from the $280s to the $680s, and monthly assessments for all units are less than $200, according the brochure I received from the Macon Group in early summer. Standard features include GE, Viking and Bosch appliances, and Kohler bathroom fixtures, and the floors and walls are insulated for sound. At last check, seven of the 25 lofts had sold.
