Taking advantage of the fair weather on Thursday, I took a trip into the Loop to take some construction photos of The Legacy at Millennium Park. The 72-story tower at 60 E Monroe St is being developed by Mesa Development, and it should be completed about a year from now.
The tower poses a challenge to photographers, because views from Wabash Street are obstructed by the elevated tracks, and the base of the tower is hidden behind the facades of some older buildings along Wabash, so I walked around the block taking photos from various angles. The photo at right in the second row was taken from Michigan Avenue, while the other three were taken from Wabash.
Last month I reported that 48 of the building’s 356 condos were still available. One-bedrooms in Legacy start in the $460s, two-bedrooms start in the $650s, three-bedrooms are priced from $1.26 million to $2.59 million, and penthouses that are priced from $4.25 million.
