Centrum Properties‘ Lofts at Roosevelt Collection is finally starting to look a bit closer to the new mixed-use community shown in Centrum’s press materials, but it looks like there’s still plenty of work to be done before buyers begin moving in next June.
When ground broke last year, work started first on the mid-rise located on the eastern side of the development (at right), and it looks like that one is much further along than the building to the west (at left), as brickwork and windows have been added in many places. At the rear of the site, some of the retail space is beginning to take shape, and I noticed that some maroon paneling was being added to what could be the movie theater, which will anchor the commercial side of the development.
A model unit is set to open on site in April 2009, and I have no plans to return to this construction site before then. Walking around on Roosevelt Road in this sort of blustery weather isn’t something I hope to repeat anytime soon.
About 56 percent of the 342 homes in the Lofts at Roosevelt Collection have been sold, and the remaining condos are priced from the low $300s to the $650s.
