Construction checkup: The Elysian

Click to enlargeWith all our talk about Ten East Delaware and Walton on the Park over the past few months, we’ve neglected to give an update on their neighbor at the corner of State and Walton streets, The Elysian.

Now, the folks at The Elysian just told me that they aren’t big fans of video tours. They don’t even want visitors taking pictures of their sales center at 605 N Michigan Ave, so you’ll have to make do with some street-level pics and the occasional sales update until I can track down my bow-tie camera and fake mustache.

As you can see, construction has reached the 22nd story of this Lucien Lagrange-designed 60-story residential and hotel tower. The building should top off in June, and buyers will start moving in sometime in the fourth quarter.

Eight of The Elysian’s 51 residential condominiums are still for sale. The half-floor units have 3,400 to 4,000 square feet and cost anywhere from $2.8 million to $4.9 million.

Of the building’s 188 hotel condos, 50 are still available at prices ranging from the $600s to the $950s.
