The Hudson at Parkside of Old Town

For those who thought this post was going to be about the other new development known as “The Hudson” at 825 N Hudson Ave, I’m sorry to get your hopes up. There are two buildings that go by that name in Cabrini Green, and this one is the anchor of Kimball Hill Urban CentersParkside of Old Town development. This building is located at 437 W Division St, at the intersection of Division and Clybourn Avenue, next to Seward Park.

It looks as though construction is finished on this colorful building, and last we checked, people were set to start moving into their homes in the summer. When I called over to the sales center in June, I learned that 80 percent of the condos in The Hudson had been sold. I haven’t been able to reach anyone at the sale center today, but the Parkside of Old Town Web site shows that a number of floor plans with two bedrooms and two baths are still available.

Prices for the remaining one- and two-bedroom condos in The Hudson range from the $340s to the $590s.

  • Any status updates on the townhomes at parkside of old town. I had gone to the sales office in june and they said %75 of stage 1 townhomes were sold, but it seemed like less than that when they showed which ones were still available. Are they going to lower prices to move condos and townhomes at any point?

  • Very glad to see the name of this neighborhood correctly identified as Cabrini Green. This development, which I think is quite nice, tried to call it “Old Town,” which of course it isn’t. Cabrini Green is a historic name that sounds good as well. Let’s strongly urge those associated with this development to champion the Cabrini Green name. In time, it could become some of the city’s best real estate.

  • WGC,

It was Old Town before it was Cabrini-Green, so there’s a legitimate basis for reverting to that name. C-G is the name of a housing development. With the passing of that development the name has less resonance.
