If everything goes as planned, this parking lot at 123 N Desplaines St will give way to Urban R2 Development‘s Catalyst sometime in the next year.
Sam Jenkins of Century 21 Sussex & Reilly said last week that the project was in a bit of a holding pattern, and he does not know when ground will break, but developers were saying as recently as May that the 22-story, Lucien Lagrange-designed tower should be ready for first deliveries in 2009.
Jenkins did say that Catalyst’s condos are still selling for the same prices we reported back in March: the $220s for studios to more than $1 million for three-bedroom penthouses.
More than 70 of Catalyst’s 217 had sold as of early May.
