Whether you love or hate modern architecture, the South Loop is increasingly full of it, thanks mostly to architecture firm Brininstool + Lynch, which has designed several mid- and high-rise buildings along South Michigan Avenue. Its latest, GlasHaus (1320 S Wabash Ave), hasn’t broken ground yet, but 1720 S. Michigan has been enclosed in glass on all but the top few floors. Scott Hoskins, managing broker of developer CMK Companies, said he has seen a pickup in sales at 1720 lately despite a slow market. The 498-unit building is 87 percent sold, and remaining units are priced from the $190s to the $400s.
