YoChicago has been tracking its progress since the summer of 2005, and now workers installing floor-to-ceiling glass windows on the 62-story 340 on the Park have only a few more floors to go. What do yo’all think — is this building going to live up to its rendering?

This is one that I really feel will stand the test of time, Martin Wolf of SCB really hit a home run here, and he couldn’t have picked a more prominant site in which to do it…
Nice work, Joel, on matching up the rendering and the actual building. I’d say that in this case, the real building looks better than the artist’s vision. The blue glass is a more vibrant shade than in the rendering and you don’t get a real sense of the sleek angle on the tower’s east edge from the rendering either.
That will be nice for residents – great views – but it will also be nice for pedestrians looking north across the long expanse of the park.
These highrise homes are a refreshing departure from the ordinary. The luxury you needn’t be convinced of in a brochure. They stand on their own apart from the views which graduate to familiar faire and amendment residuums the association provide that will need updating. Magnificant residences within themselves.
