A few days ago we set out to take a look at four projects that are underway in Chicago’s Near North neighborhood: the demolition of the last of the Cabrini high-rises, the new rental towers at SoNo and 1233 North Wells, and a 7-story rental building, The Oak at Parkside of Old Town.

The Oak at Parkside, in the Cabrini-Green area, is part of the CHA’s Plan for Transformation. As you can see from our drive-by, The Oak is topped out and ready to be closed in.
