Controversial Bridgeport mansion back on the market

3300 S Normal Ave, Chicago

The Bridgeport home at the center of a federal housing discrimination suit is back on the market at a familiar price.

Richard Carlino of Village Realty Shoppe listed Daniel and Adrienne Sabbia’s 8,000 square-foot mansion at 3300 S Normal Ave yesterday, at its old asking price of $1,799,900. A complaint filed by HUD in August accused the Sabbias and their former agent of violating the Fair Housing Act by taking the home off the market after receiving a $1.7 million offer from a black couple.

Carlino’s description of the five-bedroom / five-bath home mentions a 1,200 square-foot master suite, a four-car attached garage, two full kitchens, a two-story atrium, three wetbars, three fireplaces, a home theater, custom built-ins, a basketball court, and video surveillance. “Perfection!”, says the listing.
