Toward the end of Joe’s video at Prairie District Lofts, we stepped into a one-bedroom loft home for a look at the “pre-upgraded” condition of the units. Here are a few more photos of that home, which is on the market for $229,800.

Prairie District Lofts is a rental-to-condo conversion, and the developers are building out the new homes on a case-by-case basis, as part of a steady transition from rental units to condos. These photos from the 747-square-foot one-bedroom home shows the current state of most pre-conversion units. The condo upgrade package takes a little time to complete, but Marquita Hanus, a sales associate with Prairie District Lofts, says most new lofts can be ready in six to eight weeks.

  • I wonder how many tenants bought their “as is” units at a bargain price.

  • If that is the “pre-upgraded” unit, I cannot imagine the horror of the “un-pre-upgraded” units.

  • My fiance and I bought here. We are now having second thoughts, as the building has many more issues that we expected. I can’t believe the ineptness of this project manger and developer from the simple problems, poor communication, and lack of follow-up. How about returning phone calls in less than 3 weeks.
