Sixty-seven percent of the properties for sale in Bronzeville are condos, most of which, Clarence says, are conversions. Buildings in the neighborhood that were once single family homes, then converted to condos or apartments, are being converted back into single family homes.
We also swing by the large scale development Oakwood Shores, a Chicago Housing Authority development at 3867 S Ellis Ave that mixes public and market rate housing.
