Crain's: sales rose fastest at Fordham

The Fordham Company posted the largest increase in housing units sold in a new ranking of the area’s top 25 home builders by Crain’s Chicago Business. Fordham sold 182 units during 2003, according to the Crain’s report, a more than 450 percent increase over the previous year. The developer of the Fordham and the Pinnacle, in River North, saw revenue rise to $149.6 million in 2003, a 231 percent increase.

Libertyville-based Cambridge Homes, Inc. was the top home builder of 2003, according to the list, which will be published in the Feb. 2 issue of Crain’s.
