It’s common for newly-opened apartment buildings to offer discounted rent deals during their initial lease-up. The offers are typically described as free rent.
The new K2, for example, is offering a month’s free rent on a 13-month lease to residents who apply no later than April 30 and move in before June 1. That translates to a 7.7% discount on the nominal monthly rent.
