Deal of the day: Lower prices and buyer credits at River Park North

River Park North

An old connection to a certain indicted someone doesn’t seem to have affected sales at River Park North, the 56-unit townhouse development at in Irving Park.

Only five units are still for sale, but those five don’t want to budge – four were available last July, and another one has come back on the market following a contract fall-out.

That’s why the Ted Mortellaro & Jennifer Bradley team at Keller Williams Realty is rolling out price cuts, buyer credits and agent bonuses to reach closeout.

Four townhouses in the 3900 block of North Washtenaw Avenue have dropped in price by $100,000, according to Keller Williams agent Molly LaPorta. The homes, which have two to three bedrooms, 2.5 to 3.5 baths, and approximately 2,700 square feet, are now priced from the $590s to the $620s. Buyers will get a $17,500 credit upon signing, and agents will earn a $3,000 bonus for contracts made by June 14.

The homes are still unfinished, and all finishes previously offered as upgrades are now standard, LaPorta says.

That fifth unit, the one that’s back on the market, is a three-bedroom / 2.5-bath townhouse at 2705 W Byron St. Unlike the four Washtenaw homes, this one is already finished, and buyers will only earn a $7,000 credit.

Although there are differences between each of the townhouses, they all have floor plans similar to the one in this PDF, LaPorta says. The homes come with rear and rooftop decks, private yards, attached two-car garages and two parking spaces.
