Across the city, construction is slowing on new condo developments, but you wouldn’t know it if you live in Irving Park. I visited the Northwest Side neighborhood this morning to have a look at new construction, and although I went with a list of specific developments to check on, I came across a number of new homes I hadn’t seen before.
Instead of looking at all of Irving Park, I limited my search to the northern portion, bordered by Irving Park Road, Elston and Montrose avenues, and the Chicago River. The first part of the roundup includes a handful of the larger developments, most of which are located on bigger streets. Stay tuned for the next installment from my visit to Irving Park, which will focus on some smaller developments and rehabs located on some of the smaller neighborhood streets.
