Late last week I sat down with Shirley Olin at a Starbucks in downtown Glencoe and talked about the affluent North Shore suburb where she raised her family and runs a successful Coldwell Banker real estate office.
Our conversation ranged from Frank Lloyd Wright architecture to home prices to why people choose Glencoe over the very similar areas of east Highland Park. Shirley’s take: for the personal, small town, “nestlike” feel of the village.
