Many Chicago apartments are never advertised on Craigslist or in any other online or print media, and those apartments are often some of the best deals available.
At YoChicago we advise renters to walk, bike or drive a neighborhood looking for FOR RENT signs.
Yesterday Joe Zekas and I drove through a stretch of Bucktown to see what we could find. We saw four FOR RENT signs in the first 10 minutes of our drive, and stopped for a closer look at each. I had also pulled together a list of 10 homes listed for rent through the MLS.
We challenge anyone to find more actual Bucktown rentals on Craigslist in less time than the slightly more than half-hour we spent driving and stopping in the neighborhood.
